UCLA Blue is the dark blue color used in collaboration with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). It is described as a deep sky blue and is accompanied by a golden sun, UCLA Gold. Both are known colloquially as “Blue and Gold”. UCLA Blue was approved by the UCLA Chancellor in March 2004 for use by the school’s academic and administrative units. While this differs from True Blue, which was introduced by UCLA Athletics in the early 2000s, the athletic department chose UCLA Blue in 2021 when Nike and Jordan Brand acquired the apparel rights to Bruin’s varsity sports teams. The hexadecimal value of the color is 3284BF. UCLA Blue is a Pantone color.
