Majorelle Blue is a brilliant, intense and fresh blue. In 1924, French artist Jacques Majorelle built his largest work of art, the Majorelle Gardens in Marrakech, Morocco, painting the garden walls, fountain, features and villa in this deep blue hue, for the which registered the name Majorelle.Blue. He had noticed the color of the Moroccan tiles, the Berber robes and around the windows of buildings such as kasbahs and indigenous mud houses.
