Kobicha color (媚茶) is one of the traditional Japanese colors used since 660 AD. in the form of various dyes used in the design of kimonos. The name Kobicha comes from the Japanese for the color of a type of seaweed tea, but the word has often been used interchangeably with a form of flattery in a curious parallel to the English usage of the brown nose.
