Here is Our Interior Painting Process

Prep

Dependable Painting & Remodeling typically begins with all necessary prep work prior to painting:

  • Caulking of cracks and spackling of small holes.
  • If pictures or wall hangings are to be installed in the same spot later, nails or hangers can be left in place and painted over.
  • We use a 45-55 year caulk for sealing gaps and joints.

Paint

  • Painting generally starts on the same day as prep.
  • Dependable Painting & Remodeling applies all paints according to manufacturer specifications to ensure the proper warranty.
  • The warranty covers applying paint at the correct mil thickness, whether wet or dry.
  • Typically, two coats are sufficient—applying only one coat where possible—additional coats may be added at our discretion for better coverage or hiding.

Clean

  • We strive to leave the job site cleaner than when we arrived.
  • This includes picking up all trash, vacuuming, cleaning counters, and tidying up the area.

Touch-up Kit

A labeled touch-up kit—including a pint of each paint or product used—is provided for your convenience.

Each sample is labeled with:

  • Color name or number
  • Type of product
  • Sheen
  • Location on the job

Invoice

  • Upon job completion, Dependable Painting & Remodeling mails or emails your invoice the same day the project is finished.
  • We follow up with a “How did we Do?” customer satisfaction email.
  • A receipt is provided upon payment.
  • We encourage customers to leave a review, positive or negative, to help us improve our service.
